Oh My.... (swoo-o-o-n!) Have you seen Pinterest?

You must go see... It is totally fun, you can make virtual pinboard/style boards with things you love from around the web! You can make as many boards as your heart desires and it's an online go to place for that recipe, tutorial, awesome artwork... that you've just gotta keep track of for when the time arrives to use it!

You need an invitation from a friend or you can go onto a waiting list for an opening... it started when it was in beta testing. (Similar to Ravelry for all of you fiber artists and manic crocheters or knitters out there!) You can "re-pin" cool stuff from others boards or if you find a like minded soul, you can also follow others pinboards... so everything they pin shows up on your feed each and every day. Here are a couple of screenshots from my feed and the generic feed you see before signing on.

Art Journal Caravan 2011

I'm journeying with a hundred or so others on the 2011 Art Journal Caravan with Tangie Baxter at ScrapbookGraphics.

What an awesome group of people to travel with.... check it out! This is a year long on-line "challenge" that will stretch your inner artist and can be a great opportunity to grow !

Christmas Lads are coming for the holidays!

Icelandic Christmas Lads will invade Zig Zag Scrap from December 12th.

There will be megaBytes to win, gifts to grab, and a lot of fun… But let me tell you the story…

Christmas lads (who are called Jólasveinar) are trolls (or kind of…). They live in the mountains close by Reykjavik, and once a year they come to town, one by one. In the old days, they were coming to play bad tricks to people… nowadays they are much nicer. They bring a small gift to every kids who behaved… a potatoe to the other ones.
They are 13, and start coming on the 12th of December, until the 24th… But hey, the “real Santa” will come on the mornign of the 25th of course…

Please keep in mind, we are wonderful girls, not ugly trolls, and we will not bring you potatoes. lol!

Welcome to my blog! I'm a long time creative who has ventured into many different craft forms over the years.

I hope to have this be a place for you to check out & visit some of the cool places I've found on the web.I also want it to be a place that I can share some of my own creative work online.

I'm in the process of opening an Etsy store too! So I'll be posting some of my work for sale and giving updates and news about what I'm selling.

Resources abound online and I've found the craft community in general to be a very welcoming and generous group with their time and talents.
